History
We are native to the Upper Penninsula. Our families were born and raised in Chippewa County. Our roots go far and deep into logging and construction history.

We often dreamed of living in the Paradise area, with the pristine sand beaches, beautiful lighthouses, miles of forest trails, and quiet, friendly setting.

We realized we weren’t getting any younger so we decided to build our first new home in Paradise. The home came from our heart and utilized all our dreams and wishes of the perfect house. From heated floors and central, wood burning stove for additional heat, huge expansive windows to take in southern sunlight to personal spaces and plenty of room to grow, the home has become a centerpiece for friends, neighbors and passers-bys who liked our ideas and asked if we could build them something similar.

From those beginnings grew Shelldrake Shores Construction, a small construction company dedicated to building custom houses, additions, out-buildings and garages. We work closely with clients to realize their dream of home ownership, remodeling or expansion. We’ve added extra detail and custom features that only a small company can supply without the high overhead and costs of a big company.

Our home is our office. It’s the first place to feel the surroundings of what your new home may include. Our clients have become our friends and referrals.
